Last updated: 20 August 2026
At Threaded Workwear, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains exactly how we gather, use, store and look after your personal information whenever you visit our website, place an order, or get in touch with us. We operate fully in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.
By using our services or website, you agree to the way we handle your data as set out in this policy.

About Us

Threaded Workwear is the Data Controller, this means we are the company responsible for your personal information, and we will always respect your rights under UK data protection law.

Where We Deliver

We serve customers across England, Scotland and Wales. We do not currently ship to Northern Ireland, the European Union, or any international locations outside Great Britain.

What Information We Collect

We only ask for the details we actually need to get your order made and delivered. That means:
  • Your full name
  • Email address
  • A contact phone number
  • Billing address and delivery address
We collect this information when you fill in details during checkout, create an account, contact us directly, or place a corporate or bulk order with us.

How We Use Your Information

We only process your data when we have a clear legal reason to do so, either because we need it to fulfil our agreement with you, or because it is in our legitimate business interests to run our service well and keep improving it.
We use your information only to:
  • Process payments safely and securely
  • Make, progress and deliver your custom workwear
  • Answer questions and help with any customer support you need
Marketing: We will never send you marketing emails or messages unless you have clearly said yes. You can opt out at any time, easily and without fuss.

Who We Share Your Data With

Your personal information is never sold, rented or passed around for marketing purposes without your clear permission.
We may share necessary details only with:
  • Couriers and payment providers: strictly to help us deliver your order and process payment, all bound by strict rules to protect your data
  • Law and regulation bodies: only when we are legally required to do so
  • New owners of this business: if the business is sold or transferred, your information may be handed over as part of business assets

How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your information only for as long as it serves the purpose we collected it for:
  • Basic contact and order details: kept for a reasonable period after your last interaction (generally up to 2 years unless you ask us to remove it sooner)
  • Financial records: by UK law, invoices, payment records and related customer details must be kept for 6 years after the end of the relevant financial year, to meet HMRC requirements

Your Rights

You have full rights under UK law, which mean you can ask us to:
  • Show you exactly what personal data we hold about you
  • Correct any details that are wrong or out of date
  • Delete your personal information where no legal reason requires us to keep it
  • Pause or restrict how we process your data
  • Pass your data to another provider in a usable format
  • Withdraw any permission you gave us, at any time
Just email us with your request and we will get back to you within one calendar month. If your request is large or a little unclear, we may ask you for extra details so we can get it right and that may briefly pause the timescale.

Cookies & Website Performance

Our website uses simple cookies to help us see how the site is performing and make improvements. These are basic analytics cookies and do not require advance consent under current UK rules. You can switch cookies off or adjust your preferences at any time through your browser settings.

Keeping Your Data Secure

We use sensible, up-to-date security measures to protect your information from being lost, misused or accessed without permission. That said, no internet-based method of sending data is 100% secure, so we cannot promise absolute security any information you send to us you do so at your own risk.

If You’re Not Happy

If you have concerns or a complaint about how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can look into it and put things right. Once we have responded, if you still feel we haven’t resolved things fairly, you are entitled to take your complaint directly to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) — the UK’s independent data protection regulator — via their website at https://www.ico.org.uk/.
